Fenland Potter Joe Perry will not be competing at the Crucible in the World Snooker Championship for the second year in a row.

Perry, from Chatteris, lost 6-2 to Jamie Clarke in the final round of qualifying yesterday (April 11).

The world number 19 briefly drew level at 1-1 to a player ranked 61 places lower, but faded quickly. Clarke also beat Perry in last year’s qualifiers.
