Woman rescued from flat fire in Peterborough

Fire crews were called to Appleyard in Stanground last night (Wednesday, April 4) shortly before 11.30pm.

Firefighters put out the fire and rescued a woman inside the flat.

Two ambulance officers were sent to the scene and treated the woman, but the extent of her injuries are unknown.

The fire was started accidentally.
