The A47 was closed in Peterborough at Bretton Gate after a two car collision.
The closure was in the eastbound carriageway at around 8.30pm.
Traffic was diverted and motorists were asked to avoid the area.
The road has now reopened.
A police spokesman said there were no injuries.
