The city council turned down an application to convert a house of multiple occupation at 220 Dogsthorpe Road in Park ward.
In a report outlining its decision, planning officers stated: “The convoluted nature of the access and the increased level of parking provision would have an undue adverse impact on the residential amenity of occupiers of neighbouring dwellings.”

The proposal was to convert a six-bedroom property into a dental surgery with treatment rooms and a flat above.
