A Level results day: Peterborough School student gets three A*s to land dream place at University of Cambridge
A student from The Peterborough School, in Thorpe Road, has secured a place at The University of Cambridge after achieving three A*s in his A Level results on August 18.
The Peterborough School’s deputy head boy Naman Bhardwaj, 18, opened his results envelope at the school this morning to find out that he had achieved three A*s in biology, chemistry and maths, and an A in his Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).

Hide AdThe EPQ is an additional independent research project, which sixth form students can take, based on a topic of their choosing.
He will now go on to study Medicine at Trinity College – a constituent college of the University of Cambridge – from September this year.
"I’m happy with my results and looking forward to the next step,” Naman said.
"It was particularly difficult during lockdown to find the motivation to get up, log in to the lessons, and revise – but I’m thrilled to be going to Cambridge.”

Hide AdNaman’s mum, Kavita Bhardwaj, expressed her pride in her son on results day.
"I’m really proud of him,” she said. “During his A-Levels, he seemed relaxed, even though there was so much pressure on him.
"These results are so crucial. I’m so proud – not only me, but the entire family.”
Other high achievers celebrating their results at The Peterborough School today included deputy head girl Katie Lawler, who achieved three A*s in Biology, Chemistry and English, and plans to study Chemistry, Biological and Medicinal Chemistry at York University.

Hide AdArtist Poppy Johns achieved two A*s and a B and will study architecture at The University of Sheffield – something she said she has wanted to do for a “very long time”.
Reuben Wild achieved A*, A, B in his exams, and will also be studying architecture at university in September.
Adrian Meadows, headmaster at The Peterborough School, said: “I want to take this opportunity to offer my heartfelt congratulations to all our upper sixth on their achievements this summer.
"Considering that they have never sat public exams before, and partially studied for their A Levels during the past lockdowns, they have performed exceptionally well and should all be very proud of their achievements.
"I look forward to hearing about the next stage of their educational careers as they move on to further study after leaving The Peterborough School.”
