The Caravan Club has launched a brand new play area at its site at Ferry Meadows in Ham Lane, off Oundle Road.

Local children and the club’s ‘Tourer Explorer’ mascots – Holly Day and Andy Venture - opened the play area last Thursday.

The playground has been split into five zones with equipment for children of all ages. These are the: Toddler Zone, Inclusive Zone, Junior Zone, Social Zone and Sports Zone. A covered seating area is also close by so parents can watch their children play. Nick Lomas, director general, The Caravan Club, said: “The site is ideally located next to the country park and offers something for the whole family including steam trains, a lake you can fish in,
excellent cycle and walking trails, plus every kind of sporting facility you could think of.

“In the last year alone our site visitors have contributed £4.5 million to the local economy and we hope to be able to increase this thanks to this latest site development.”
