A man from Peterborough has been charged with six offences including assaulting a police officer, dangerous driving and criminal damage.

Gavin Allatt, 37, was arrested in Buttercream Drive, Woodston, on Wednesday afternoon (October 14) after police were called to a disturbance in Sugar Way where a car windscreen had been smashed.

He has since been charged with assaulting an emergency worker by kicking them, criminal damage to a car windscreen, criminal damage to a gate, using threatening or disorderly behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress, dangerous driving, and failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis.

Allatt, of no fixed address, has been bailed to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on November 23.
