Former special constable faces misconduct hearing after common assault caution

A special case misconduct hearing is to be held into a former special constable previously based in Bourne.

The hearing will be held on February 3 for Scott Wilson.

It is alleged that he breached the following standards of professional behaviour - discreditable conduct.

. It is alleged that on September 29, 2019, while off duty, during an argument with another person he prevented them from leaving his house, forcing them to remain with him.

. That sometime between August 1, 2019 and September 29, 2019, while off duty, he assaulted another person by pushing them.

. That on October 14, 2019 he received a simple adult caution for this common assault.

The hearing will be held at Lincolnshire Police headquarters in Deepdale Lane, Nettleham, LN2 2LT. The hearing will start at 12.30pm.

No recording or filming of the hearing is permitted. The identity of witnesses will be protected during the hearing as appropriate.

Anyone wishing to attend is asked to send a request to Lincolnshire Police via [email protected] providing your name, address and date of birth to register your interest along with which days you wish to attend.

The deadline to register is 5pm on Thursday. You will be required to arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the hearing. For security reasons, photographic ID and consent to be searched will be required as a condition of entry.
