Dozy drivers stopped in Peterborough for leaving lights off in thick fog

More than a dozen Peterborough motorists were stopped by police in just 20 minutes for driving with no lights on in this morning’s thick fog.

Residents woke up to the pea souper this morning, with visibility down to just a few metres in places.

However, dozy drivers continued to drive without turning any lights on, despite the dangerous conditions.

A police spokesman said: “Over a dozen vehicles stopped in just 20 minutes this morning for driving without ANY lights on!

“Please put your lights on - the fog is extremely dangerous this morning and there have been numerous collisions across the county.”
